    PTI again seeks permission for Imran Khan’s helicopter landing

    ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has again asked the Islamabad administration to allow the landing of Imran Khan’s helicopter at the Parade Ground, ARY News reported on Thursday.

    As per details, PTI leadership in another written request to the Islamabad administration has sought permission for Imran Khan’s helicopter landing and take off at the Parade Ground on November 26 (tomorrow).

    The letter penned by the PTI leadership stated in case of any eventuality the helicopter should be near the jalsagah.

    The administration has been requested to allow the landing and take off of the copter on November 26 from 11 am to 5 pm.

    It is pertinent to mention here that PTI has announced a public gathering at Faizabad on November 26.

    Imran Khan called on his party workers and supporters to reach Rawalpindi on November 26. He asked the party workers and supporters to reach Rawalpindi between 1-2 pm. “I will meet you there,” he added.

    Security threats

    Earlier on Thursday, the Interior Ministry again informed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership about possible fear of suicide or bomb attack on the long march.

    A letter addressed to PTI Secretary General Asad Umar, states that the interior ministry has been sharing threat alerts generated by credible intelligence sources to the life of Imran Khan by anti-state elements to destabilise the country.

    LAHORE: Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has been discharged from Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore and shifted to his residence in Zaman Park, ARY News reported on Sunday.

    According to details, the former premier was discharged from Shaukat Khanum Hospital, where he was being treated after surviving an assassination attempt during party’s long march in Wazirabad.

    Imran Khan was examined by a four-member medical team before leaving for his residence in Zaman Park. “There were four fragments of bullet in Khan’s body and shards from the right leg were removed,” the hospital said in a statement.

    The hospital stated He underwent surgery to remove bullet fragments which continued for one and a half hours. “A splinter of the bullet was not removed from his left leg,” it added.

    The medical board declared all the medical reports of the former prime minister ‘normal and satisfactory’. Following this, the hospital management prepared his discharge slip and allowed the PTI chief to go home today.

    It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan and several other PTI leaders were injured after a man opened fire near the PTI reception camp at Allahwala Chowk during party’s long march.

    Earlier in the day, Imran Khan announced to resume Azadi Long March from Tuesday. He said the march will resume from Wazirabad and he will address the long march participants on daily basis from the hospital.

    He said Azadi Long March will reach Rawalpindi in 10 to 15 days, where he will physically join the march. Khan invited the masses to join their protest and break the shackles of fear.

    The former premier condemned the alleged objectionable video leak of party Senator Azam Swati and went on to say that the video is not fake and should be investigated.

    Azam Swati will observe the sit-in outside the Supreme Court for the delivery of justice, he added.

    The PTI chief also demanded the judicial commission should also investigate the killing of senior journalist Arshad Sharif and US cipher that according to Imran Khan was the base of toppling PTI-led federal government.

    Police misconduct with MNA: PTI seeks action against Rana Sanaullah, IG Islamabad

    ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has demanded immediate action against Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Inspector General (IG) Islamabad over police misconduct with the Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Saleh Muhammad, ARY News reported on Sunday.

    Former NA speaker Asad Qaiser wrote an open letter to NA Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf following Islamabad police misconduct with PTI MNA Saleh Muhammad.

    He stated in his letter the Parliament possesses extraordinary sanctity in the political system in terms of role and status He added that the Constitution guarantees the protection of life, property, dignity and honour of the citizens.

    He said that MNA Saleh Muhammad was also present at the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office at the time of the announcement of the Toshakhana reference’s verdict on October 12.

    Qaiser said that Islamabad police violated the rules and regulations and arrested the PTI MNA Muhammad on a baseless charge. The former NA speaker said that the capital police exhibited insulting behaviour with the MNA Saleh Muhammad by releasing his photo with a white slate inscribed with his details around his neck.

    The letter said that this mistreatment has caused pain to the MNA, his family and the party. “As the leader of the House, it is necessary for you to take notice of this action by the police,” he wrote in his letter to the NA speaker.

    Qaiser criticised the police misconduct and stated the action caused pain to the MNA, his family and the political party, whereas, the capital police defamed and insulted the parliament. He added that the Pashtun people regretted the shameful behaviour of the capital police with their representative.

    He asked the NA speaker to take notice of the police misconduct as the leader of the House and order a comprehensive probe into the arrest and misbehaviour with MNA Saleh.

    Qaiser also demanded the NA speaker take strict action after ascertaining the responsible. He demanded that Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah should be summoned by the NA’s privileges committee, whereas, the IG Islamabad along with those responsible should be suspended.

    PTI Additional General Secretary Omar Ayub Khan condemned the release of MNA Saleh’s photo by Islamabad police. He said on Twitter, “Condemn this photo in the strongest words!! Haji Saleh Muhammad has been a MPA & MNA. Has been arrested for an incident in which he has no role. In fact, the person indicating that he should be arrested is on social media. The IG should resign and the responsible held accountable.”

    Terrorism case

    On October 21, the PTI MNA Saleh Muhammad and his gunmen had been booked in a terrorism case during a protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office in Islamabad.

    The PTI MNA Saleh Muhammad and his two gunmen were arrested from outside the ECP office during a protest against the Toshakhana case’s verdict to disqualify Imran Khan. A case was lodged against the PTI lawmaker and his two gunmen under the anti-terrorism act (ATA).

    According to the First Information Report (FIR), the accused attempted to disturb law and order situation in an organised way and the lawmaker’s gunmen resorted to firing at police officials to murder them.

    It stated that the PTI MNA entered the Red Zone along with his gunmen. The police officials also seized two SMGs and 28 rounds, it added.

    The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had disqualified former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on October 21 in the Toshakhana reference under Article 63(1)(p).

    According to details, the former premier has taken the decision while chairing a meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leaders.

    Sources told ARY News that Imran Khan refrained from disclosing the date of long march to the party leaders. “I will not reveal the protest date to anyone,” sources quoted the PTI Chairman as saying.

    The participants of the meeting also consulted on countering the government strategy, sources added, claiming that some party leaders were not satisfied with the performance of Punjab Home Minister.

    The former prime minister has decided to change make important administrative changes in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) ahead of long march. Sources also claimed that it has been also decided to change Advocate General Punjab.

    Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has decided to participate in all the by-elections and party chief Imran Khan will run its campaign. Moreover, a schedule of Imran Khan’s new public gatherings has been finalised.

    ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will announce a date for the long march towards Islamabad within seven days, the top PTI huddle decided on Friday.

    The senior leadership of the party met today where it was decided that the time for giving the final call for a protest in Islamabad has finally arrived.

    According to sources, the long march could be announced in the third week of October and Imran Khan has directed the senior leadership to start preparations for the long march.

    “Strong reservations were expressed during the meeting with regard to Ishaq Dar’s return and acquittal of Maryam Nawaz in Avenfield reference during the meeting and it was stressed that the matter should be taken up with the masses,” they said.

    It was also decided, according to sources, that option to return to the assemblies shall not be considered anymore and now the PTI will take to the streets and the masses would now decide the future of politics in the country.

    Earlier in the day, PTI chairman Imran Khan announced that he would soon give a call to his supporters to pull the country out of the crisis.

    Addressing a ceremony at Lahore’s Edwards College in Peshawar, Imran Khan said he will not allow dacoits to loot resources of the country and will fight them even if he has to do it alone by himself.

    He asked the masses to come out for real independence and give a message to everyone that they will not be a slave to any superpower.

    Imran Khan said properties of the Sharif family were unearthed in Panama Leaks but the ‘biggest dacoits’ are being given NRO, he claimed.

    ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Thursday thanked people who generously donated for the flood victims in Pakistan, ARY News reported.

    PTI Senator and former BISP chairperson Dr Sania Nishtar called on former prime minister Khan to apprise him about the donations collected for the flood victims so far.

    Senator Shibli Faraz, chief of staff of Imran Khan and Salman Aftab were also present in the meeting.

    Speaking on the occasion, former prime minister and PTI chairman thanked the people for generously donating for the people affected due to floods. He vowed to distribute the funds to the flood victims as the catastrophe has badly affected a large portion of the country’s population.

    The PTI senators will also highlight the deteriorated economic situation and the government’s failures in relief activities in the flood-hit areas.

    Imran Khan’s Lahore visit

    Imran Khan will visit Lahore on a day-long trip on September 26 (Monday).

    During his visit, the prime minister would meet with Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, sources said.

    The PTI Chief, on his Lahore, visit, would also meet with the cabinet members and party leaders. He has also issued important tasks to party leaders, say sources.

    His trip to the provincial capital comes at a time when speculations about the PML-N filing a vote of no confidence against the PTI government are circulating.

    However, on Wednesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan announced to start anti-government movement on September 24.

    KOHAT: A crack blast has taken place outside the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shehryar Afridi in Kohat, ARY News reported on Thursday night.

    Unidentified men hurled a cracker at Shehryar Afridi’s residence in Kohat. The cracker blew up near the main gate of his house.

    No casualty was reported in the incident. ARY News obtained CCTV footage of the cracker explosion.

    Heavy contingents of law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was summoned to collect evidence.

    PTI Chief Imran Khan chaired the session of senior leaders and economic team which was attended by Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry, Shireen Mazari, Shaukat Tarin and others.

    The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the political scenario and deteriorated economic situation in the country.

    The committee will also prepare a comprehensive plan to end the economic crisis and prevent the poor segment from financial hardships. The committee will prepare the recommendations after holding consultations with experts from 17 sectors including energy, industry and commerce.

    Khan said that PTI will prepare a complete roadmap for reviving the national economy. He reiterated that a fair and free election was the sole solution to end the political and economic instability in the country.

    Fawad Chaudhry said that Imran Khan chaired an important session of the legal team today. Shehbaz Sharif’s meetings in London had violated the constitution and law. He said that Nawaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar are absconders.

    Fawad Chaudhry said that an action should be taken against those persons who held meetings and consultations regarding important appointments with the absconders. “Even cabinet members are also confirmed consultations with Nawaz Sharif regarding an important appointment.”

    The PTI leader said that the case will be put up before the court by the political party. He added that they are compiling data of threatening phone call to the PTI workers and legal action will be taken against the harassment.

    Imran Khan criticises PM Sharif

    Imran Khan has criticised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for discussing COAS appointment and other state matter with a convict, Nawaz Sharif.

    Imran Khan said in a Twitter message that PM Shehbaz Sharif was discussing the appointment of the new Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and other state matter with the convict Nawaz Sharif.

    He added that the ministers were also declaring that they will appoint COAS after consulting Nawaz Sharif. Khan said that the plans ‘are all in contravention not only of the Official Secrets Act (section 5:1) but also of their oaths of office.’
