GUJRANWALA: A woman opened fire and severely injured her husband after he reportedly slapped her over a domestic dispute, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
The incident took place in the Papnakha area of Gujranwala where Muhammad Sarwar slapped his wife Kulsoom during a domestic dispute. This infuriated Kulsoom who demanded an apology from husband and later opened fire at him.
Kulsoom fired once at both legs of Sarwar, who was severely injured in the incident. Area residents admitted him to Civil Hospital.
Police have taken the accused woman into custody and confiscated the pistol registered in the name of Sarwar.
Police said that Kulsoom is not of sound mind and health. They said that Sarwar was a retired employee of a spy organisation, and was currently working as a security guard at a private company.
