ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz has said that the military strikes in North Waziristan have proved effective and successful, ARY News reported on Thursday. 

Talking to media in Islamabad Aziz said that no positive effects emerge from the talks with Taliban so far.

He said the Taliban didn't respond to recent surgical strikes adding that the air force have played effective role in the operation.  

Sartaj Aziz said the government will also present its international and defence policies in next two weeks. 

Replying a question Aziz said that Saudis not purchasing arms from Pakistan alone but also buying weapons from other countries too. 

Responding to another query, Aziz said that Pakistan has not changed its policy on Syria.
