Imran Khan inaugurates two new trains in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday inaugurated two new trains in a ceremony at Prime Minister Secretariat here on Friday, ARY News reported.

Speaking on the occasion, the PM congraturated Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed for his efforts for the betterment of the department and initiation of new projects for common passengers.

The PM also vowed to bring the latest technology to the department which facilitates thousands of passengers everyday.

“I will visit China and take you (Sheikh Rasheed) along with me so that we can learn from their experience in railways to better our position,” said Imran Khan.

The two new trains inaugurated today are named Rawalpindi Express and Mianwali Rail Car. Both trains will offer fifty percent concession in fares on the first day.

Mianwali Rail Car service will start from today. It will leave from Kundian at 7:00 am for Rawalpindi. It will leave from Rawalpindi at 06:00 pm for Kundian.

Rawalpindi Express will be started from September 15. The train which has a capacity of 685 passengers will simultaneously leave Rawalpindi and Lahore at 8:00 PM.
