Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq had emerged victorious against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the general elections on May 11, 2013. Sadiq had secured 93,389 whereas Khan had got 84, 517 votes.
However, the PTI Chairman refused to accept his loss and alleged that the elections were rigged.
It should be noted that NA-122 is one of the four constituencies in which Imran Khan has demanded recounting of votes.
