ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called the visit of his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a landmark in bilateral relations, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

The two premiers agreed to conclude preferential trade agreement to promote trade between the two countries.

Prime Minister Sharif and his Turkish counterpart Erdogan reached to the understanding at a meeting in Islamabad today.
 
Later in a press talk Nawaz Sharif said that this economic framework will significantly contribute to trade facilitation between the two friendly countries.

The Turkish Prime Minister in his remarks said we want to enhance cooperation with Pakistan in the areas of aviation‚ railways and maritime. He said Turkey plans to open a new consulate in Lahore.
