KARACHI: Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ) Chief, Allama Ahmed Ludhiyanvi has said that the United States (US) is negotiating with Taliban and exchanging prisoners with them, but Pakistan is being pushed into a war – ARY News reports.
In a statement issued on Monday, Allama Ahmed Ludhiyanvi said that war is no solution to any issue and urged the Government to resume talks with Taliban.
He said that the US is negotiating with Taliban and exchanging prisoners with them too, yet it is not letting Pakistan do so.
Ludhiyanvi said that a deadlock in talks, airstrikes and military offensive in tribal areas and displacement of locals, all these are indicating a looming threat of a major catastrophe.
The ASWJ Chief urged the authorities to make efforts for the success of peace talks, rather than planning for a war.
Allama Ahmed Ludhiyanvi said that inflation and load-shedding have made the survival of the people difficult and demanded the Government to provide special relief package to the people, in the budget.
Moreover, he said that confrontation between national institutions is a conspiracy against the national security of the state.
