The letter written by IG Sindh Prisons Nusrat Hussain Mangan states that law enforcers interrogated a high value detainee and he disclosed that Al Qaeda in Indian Sub-Continent and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan ordered recce of several important buildings and installations to target them.
The potential targets include US Consulate Saddar, Sindh Assembly building, Police Club near Do Talwar, SSP Shaukat Imran in Quaidabad and American employees in oil refinery in Keamari.
The letter said the attacks could not be carried out due to arrest of the suspects, however  it directed the departments concerned to ensure still vigilance at all identified spots so as to prevent any untoward incident.
