KARACHI: Unknown saboteurs tried to disrupt gas supplies with bombs at two places in northern parts of Sindh, ARY News reported on Saturday.

One of the two bombs planted at gas pipelines exploded partially damaging the pipeline, another bomb was defused.

The miscreants detonated a bomb planted at 24" diameter Shikarpur to Multan gas pipeline Golla village near Kashmore partially damaging the pipeline. According to reports a nearby mosque was also damaged in the bomb attack.

Local police sources, however, denied claims of damage to the gas pipeline and claimed that the gas supply continued without interruption.

Moreover, a bomb device was planted at a gas pipeline at Pir Wassan in district Khairpur's Mehrabpur area. Local people informed the police about the bomb planted at the gas pipeline supplying gas to Karachi.

Police called the bomb disposal squad, which defused the device carrying two kilograms of explosives.
