According to police, the cops were going to duty that unknown attackers opened fire on them in Shah Dand Baba area of district Mardan, killing both on the spot.
The attackers immediately fled the scene.
Meanwhile, rescue teams shifted the dead bodies to the hospital and a probe has been kicked off by the police.
