GUJRANWALA: Three members of a family died and two others suffered injuries when the roof of their house collapsed due to rainfall in a Gujranwala neighborhood, ARY News reported.
According to rescue officials, the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in the Nawab Chowk neighborhood due to heavy rainfall. As a result, three members of a family died while two others sustained injuries.
45-year old Rehana, her 14-year old son Abdullah, and 10-year old daughter Mehak were killed while her another son and 22-year old daughter suffered injuries, officials said.
Rescue officials said they reached the spot of the incident and recovered the deceased and injured from the debris and shifted them to the Civil Hospital Gujranwala where the injured are stated to be in stable condition. Whereas, the dead bodies have been handed over to their relatives.
