ISLAMABAD: Chairman of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Tariq Malik appeared before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) here on Wednesday in response to a notice issued to him – ARY News reports.
According to details, Tariq Malik appeared before FIA in the zonal office here and recorded his statement for an almost an hour. FIA officials questioned him about different irregularities.
Malik denied all the allegations against him. He was also asked that why did he mentioned himself as an IT expert while acquiring a passport when he was the Deputy Chairman NADRA.
To which, Malik responded that he is an IT expert as per his occupation and he wrote that correctly.
Earlier on Tuesday, FIA had issued a notice to the Chairman NADRA regarding different allegations against him pertaining to departmental irregularities.
