Taliban negotiators return from Waziristan

ISLAMABAD: The members of Taliban committee have returned back after consultations with the militants' leaders in North Waziristan tribal region, ARY News reported on Monday. 

Taliban talks committee members Prof. Ibrahim Khan and Yousuf Shah returned back to Nowshera after consultations with Taliban Shura in Waziristan tribal region.

The committee members, went to militants' bastion of North Waziristan to get instructions from Taliban leadership for peace talks.

The return of the committee was delayed due to apprehensions of drone attacks in the region. 

The helicopter, carrying the committee members landed in Nowshera and Prof. Ibrahim and Yousuf Shah called on Maulana Samiul Haq, the third member of the Taliban committee, for further consultations. 

Prof. Ibrahim, a member of Taliban team has said that the government committee has been informed about the conditions of Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan. He said that the prospects of peace in the country are bright.

The committee members will arrive Islamabad to hold dialogue with the members of the government committee.
