Widespread rain and thundershowers with a few heavy to very heavy falls are likely in Mirpur Khas, Tharparker, Umerkot, Sanghar, Larkana, Dadu and Badin districts.

In a weather forecast the met office predicted rainfall at scattered places in Northeastern Balochistan, South Punjab, lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Islamabad, while at isolated places in Upper and Central Punjab.

Widespread rain with thunderstorm is expected in Balochistan and Sindh and isolated areas in Khyber Paktunkhawa and southern Punjab today.

Under the influence of a westerly wave presently affecting upper and central parts of the country rain or wind-thunderstorms are expected on Friday (today) at scattered places in all districts of Khyber Paktunkhawa, Punjab, Kashmir, Islamabad

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has informed that a well marked monsoon low pressure has formed over north Bay of Bengal and its adjoining areas, which likely to move westwards and may reach over Indian Gujrat region around morning of 9th August.

The weather office also warned of possibility of urban flooding in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi divisions during the period.
