Fans of the blockbuster "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will have to wait two more years for the next instalment as Walt Disney Co. on Wednesday pushed back the release of "Star Wars: Episode VIII" by seven months.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" racked up its first award on Wednesday when the American Film Institute named it as one of the 10 best films of the year.

Early praise for the newest installment of "Star Wars" gave a boost to shares of Walt Disney and Electronic Arts, which recently launched a video game based on the hugely popular space opera.
