Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered an inquiry to be held against top PIA management officials' role in the recent protests against privatization of the national flag carrier.

ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Monday enforced the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Essential Services Act 1952 for six months as employees continue to protest against alleged privatization of the national flag carrier, ARY News reported.

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) joint action committee on Saturday vowed to continue its protest until the presidential ordinance aimed at privatizing the national carrier is not withdrawn, ARY News reported.
