The court had awarded 11-year jail term to Nisar Morai in FCS reference. He was handed four years jail term for illegal recruitment and seven years' sentence for misuse of authority.

Accountability Court -I had reserved its verdict after hearing the final arguments from the defence and the prosecution following over three years long trial.

The accountability court deferred the verdict in a corruption reference against former FCS chairman Nisar Morai following the absence of the judge.

He also has a share in a sugar mill, said the NAB sources.

Morai, along with others accused of misusing authority, embezzlement of funds, illegal appointments and awarding fake contracts during 2014-15, causing a loss of over Rs 343 million to the national exchequer in the FCS corruption reference
