ISLAMABAD: Six crew members of a Pakistani government helicopter which crash-landed in Afghanistan's volatile east have been released, an official said Saturday, after they were taken hostage by the Afghan Taliban.
KARACHI: According to a post on Twitter on May 9, the two pilots of the Mi-17 helicopter which crashed in Naltar on May 8, Majors Faisal and Altamash initially survived the crash and in fact rescued several of the passengers before being killed.
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Sohail Aman has said that the Mi-17 helicopter crashed in Gilgit after it went out of control due to a technical fault, ARY News reports.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif telephoned Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razzak on Saturday and expressed his condolence over the killing of Malaysian High Commissioner to Pakistan Datuk Dr Hasrul Sani Mujtabar’s wife Datin Habibah Mahmud on behalf of the Government of Pakistan and its people, ARY News reports.
