The gang was operating in the city while divided in three teams. The members of first team was snatching a vehicle, another commits kidnapping and the third team invests the crime money in businesses, according to sources.

The police on Thursday claimed to have busted a gang involved in the abduction of newborns from hospitals and maternity homes in Karachi.

The law enforcement agencies have also recovered large quantity of weapons, uniforms and other items from possession of the accused, according to sources.
