It is to be mentioned here that a three-judge IHC bench, headed by Chief Justice Athar Minallah set aside the November 19 order of the special court and instructed it to hear all sides before deciding the case.
Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth, head judge of the special court during the hearing said that the bench will not comment on the jurisdiction of the high court in the case.
The interior ministry has appealed to the IHC to declare null and void the special court's order of November 19. It further appealed to stop the court from announcing the final verdict on November 28.
It is to be mentioned here that the Ministry of Interior had also filed a petition in Islamabad High Court on Monday seeking suspension of the special court’s decision to reserve its verdict of high treason case against Pervez Musharraf.
