Gaddafi stadium
Gaddafi stadium named after former Libyan head of the state Muammar Gaddafi, located in the second largest city of Pakistan. The stadium was designed by the country’s most popular architect Nasreddin-Murat-Khan and constructed back in 1959 by Mian Abdul Khaliq and Company.
Being the largest cricket stadium of Pakistan Gaddafi stadium has the ability to accommodate 27000 visitors at a time. Headquarter of Pakistan Cricket Board is also located within the complex making the making it the home of Pakistan cricket.
the stadium was renovated in 1996 before hosting the internal cricket world cup. The stadium was redesigned in Mughal style with red bricks and arches. The complex is also owned by the Pakistan cricket board and still maintained to its original condition.
