The visit activity is aimed to promote bilateral relations and explore new dimensions of cooperation with African countries under the Government's "Engage Africa Policy".

The delegation was invited by the chairman Senate and will meet President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan and COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood on Sunday said that Pakistan’s trade with African countries has reached $4.18 billion dollars in 2019-20, which was increased by seven per cent as compared to the previous year.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi made the statement while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a two-day Envoys' Conference of African countries in Islamabad today.
