Asian Development Bank (ADB) is a regional development covering Asia and Pacific region with headquarters located in Philippines. The Motto of ADB is to fight poverty in Asia and Pacific region with the purpose of social and economic development in the region.
The bank is designed on the exact model of World Bank model, working systems, voting, capital systems and etc. all are modeled on World Bank’s module. Asian development bank has been granted the united national legal observer status.
Countries outside from Asia region are also the member of ADB. The bank provides two types of loans soft and hard loans, where hard loans are given to the middle income countries and soft loans are given to poor countries. Asian development bank also provides loans to the private sector.
