KARACHI: Mayor Waseem Akhtar has imposed a one-day ban on swimming at all beaches of Karachi under Section 144.
According to details, the Mayor imposed the ban owing to high sea waves and strong winds that are likely to blow across the coastal areas of the metropolis throughout the day.
The civic authorities have cautioned people flocking to the beaches for picnic to take special care in this regard.
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) lifeguards have also been instructed to remain vigilant and ensure implementation of the ban.
