ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has said that the society has become a victim of anarchy, ARY News reports on Friday.
Addressing a dinner held in his honor by Pakistan Bar Council here, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani said that lawyers can play an important role by changing opinion in order to change the atmosphere.
He added that an independent judiciary can become the foundation of any society. He said that immediate justice can help curb the rising unrest in the society.
During the last stages of his address, CJP quoted the famous statement of Quaid-e-Azam in which it is stated that religion has nothing to do with the state.
