LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday reiterated that he will play an effective role of the opposition in the National Assembly.
In his message on the occasion of Independence Day, he said: “We have gone astray. We have to learn from our mistakes.” He renewed his pledge to play an active role of the opposition in the National Assembly.
He said we have to decide our future ourselves.
Separately, in a tweet, the PML-N leader paid a rich tribute to those who sacrificed their lives and property for creation of the country.
He said: “Independence Day is a day of thanksgiving; a day to remember how Muslims of sub-continent came together under the inspiring leadership of Quaid-i-Azam to carve out a homeland for themselves. Today I pay my rich tributes to those who sacrificed everything 2 achieve this country.”
