SHC hears petition against Rangers raid in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday heard a petition against a raid carried out by Sindh Rangers in Karachi, ARY News reported.

The bench heard a petition, which it was alleged that the Rangers personnel in a raid at a petrol pump near Yousuf Plaza in Federal B Area also taken the licenced arms with them.

The Rangers counsel said that the petition has been filed to malign the paramilitary agency.

The judge in his remarks said that the rangers personnel while offering sacrifices to maintain peace in the city facing allegations, which is an inappropriate action. He said the arms that were allegedly taken by the rangers officials can be purchased on just Rs. 1000 or 1200 from an arms shop.

The high court judge said that the matter should be investigated if the petitioner is telling the truth.
