After delivering hits such as Khuda Kay Liye, Waar and Operation 021, Shaan Shahid’s movies have always attracted attention and acclaim. The Yalghaar actor recently shared a teaser from his upcoming movie Gidh on Facebook.
In the movie, Shaan can be seen in his familiar avatar, firing guns and sporting fiery expressions. However, the teaser does feature a montage showing him performing different roles and functions.
Not much can be said about Gidh from the trailer though Shamoon Abbasi did spill some details to a local newspaper a couple of years ago.
“Gidh is a romantic thriller and its plot is not based on the premise of terrorism, history or politics. It’s a movie about show-business and the media. What makes Gidh unique is that it has six songs and will be a musically driven movie, unlike the movies we have been seeing in the recent past; they lacked the musical drive which I feel is very essential for our viewers.”
The movie had earlier suffered delay as Humayun Saeed was initially cast to play the lead role in Gidh. However, owing to his involvement in other projects such as Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, the actor had to be replaced with Shaan Shahid.
Gidh will also feature renowned Pakistani actors such as Sara Loren, Ayesha Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi and others as well.
