ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday issued a detailed verdict regarding bail given to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on medical grounds, ARY News reported.
The four-page detailed verdict was issued by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa.
According to the order, the bail has been given to the ex-PM for six weeks, however, Sharif was not permitted to travel outside the country.
“The former PM will be taken into custody if he doesn’t surrender himself to police after six days.”

It was further stated in the detailed verdict the court will be the only authority to decide about the arrest of the former PM after bail period expires.
The ex-premier’s request for the specified bail period for a medical treatment was acceptable.
Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court granted former prime minister Nawaz Sharif bail for six weeks on medical grounds.
Headed by the chief justice, a three-judge of the SC took up the petition of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader challenging the Islamabad High Court’s verdict dismissing his bail application on medical grounds.
Announcing the short verdict, the CJP directed the former premier be granted bail for six weeks against surety bonds amounting to Rs 5 million each.
