KARACHI: Minister for Information and Culture Punjab, Samsam Bukhari has said that the sacrifices of Muslims, especially of Pakistanis, for lasting peace in the world, were greater than any other community, ARY News reported.
Speaker to media at the Governor House in Karachi on Monday, Bukhari said that the terror attack at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand was highly condemnable and gruesome. “Terrorism has no religion and [the terrorists] are an enemy of the society”, he said.
The Minister had earlier met Sindh MPAs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and was flanked by Saeed Khan Afridi, Jam Kamal and Aziz Afridi.
The minister said that Pakistan had suffered terribly at the hands of terrorism and nearly a decade-long war had made Pakistan a resilient nation and the one which understood the grief of others.

He said that the success of Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) Pakistan leg had proved that Pakistan was a peaceful and sport-loving country. He said the credit for the successful event went to security agencies and people of Karachi.
He said that he had come to Karachi for consulting with the PTI members so that social and cultural relations between Sindh and Punjab could be enhanced.
“Cultural values of both the provinces would reflect a soft image of the country which would result in improving the economy as well as promoting tourism culture in the country”, he said.
He announced that the government would soon hold a ‘cultural conference’ in Lahore where writers and members of intelligentsia would be invited and the event would be aimed at promoting the culture of two provinces.
