Retired judge agrees to head Panama Papers commission; Imran insists on CJP

The former judge wants all political parties to  express confidence and agree on him heading the commission. Secondly, there should be no outside interference and the Terms of Reference (TOR) should be established by him.

Meanwhile, PTI chairman Imran Khan lashed out at Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and questioned how his children received the money to invest in offshore companies.

He was addressing a gathering in London when he reiterated that they will only accept an investigation commission headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Previously, the government had contacted several former judges including Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal and Justice (retd) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani who refused to head the investigation commission.
