Old recruitment policy in Balochistan to be changed soon: Kamal

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal, has said the provincial government was taking steps for better future of the province, ARY News reported.

Addressing the Balochistan Assembly session, Kamal said the opposition members must register their protest but take care of the traditions of the province.

He said the opposition parties had demanded a formation of committee to probe alleged irregularities in the Public Sector Development Programme Funds (PSDP).

He informed the PSDP funds case was pending in the court for 2016. Kamal said the government was striving to put the Balochistan on the path of progress.

He was of the view that PSDP included schemes from 2003 to 2013.

The chief minister said 450 development schemes initiated by the previous government would be completed by June this year.

Jam Kamal said projects worth Rs 30 billion were approved by the current provincial government.

He stated that a three decades old recruitment policy would soon be changed.

Earlier on March 25, Jam Kamal had said the government was endeavouring to resolve issues of all areas without any inequity. Speaking to media here, Kamal said “We believe equal development of all provincial areas.”

He stated that federal and provincial governments’ projects were underway in the province. He was of the view that projects under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) would benefit the most number of people.
