Rangers arrest 16 suspects during raids in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Friday apprehended 16 suspects during raids in different areas of Karachi, ARY News reported.

The Sindh Rangers spokesperson said four suspects belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) were arrested from Kharadar, Risala and Mithadar areas.

He said the paramilitary force nabbed an alleged target killer from Garden, Saddar.

“At least 10 suspects were collared from Paposh, Nazimabad, Rizvia, Chakiwara and Garden areas,” he said.

The Rangers spokesman said a drug peddler, Basheer Ahmed, was arrested from Paposh Nagar.

On April 12, Sindh Rangers had arrested 12 suspects during raids in different areas of Karachi, ARY News reported.

The suspects were involved in several crimes including robbery and street crimes. The raids were conducted in Gulberg, Bilal Colony, Nabi Bukhsh, Garden, Risala and Saudabad, the spokesperson of Sindh Rangers had said.

The spokesman had said ammunition and looted valuable items were also recovered from their possession.

He had said the suspects were handed over to police for legal action.

On April 9, Sindh Rangers had arrested nine suspects during raids in different areas of the metropolis.

The Rangers spokesperson had said the arrested suspects were involved in street crimes.
