Karachi: Rangers seize large cache of arms hidden in Qasba Colony

Rangers carried out a search operation in Qasba Colony and recovered a large sum of weapons kept underground by the activists of a political party.

The recovered weapons included seven rifles and nine-millimeter pistols, Rangers sources said. Large quantity of the different caliber bullets were also recovered as well.

The seized cache of arms and munitions was stored underground in order to use in a terrorist attack in the city, the law enforcement officials said.

Police apprehended three street robbers that were looting passersby at Boat Basin area of the metropolis.  Three pistols, stolen mobile phones and a motorcycle seized from the arrested criminals.

Moreover, a man Ahmed Ghani was wounded in firing near Quaidabad bridge while resisting a robbery attempt. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
