According to details, unknown assailants opened indiscriminate fire at Usman Road killing four people on the spot and injuring three others. The attackers after hitting their target managed a clean getaway from the scene.
Rescue teams immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the dead bodies and injured to Civil Hospital, where out of three injured, one was reported to be in precarious condition.
Meanwhile, a heavy contingent of security forces reached the spot and cordoned-off the site of incident. Security personnel collected relative evidence and an investigation into the event is underway.
