PTI, PML-N activists scuffle outside KPC

KARACHI: An untoward and disruptive incident occurred when activists of the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf scuffled outside the Karachi Press Club on Sunday, ARY News reported.

Both parties raised slogans against each others, and even resorted to fist fights, but there were no injuries. PTI activists raised ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans. A heavy police contingent was deployed which diffused the situation with assistance from leaders of both parties.

PTI leader Imran Ismail said that route is not part of their rally, but rather some party workers were coming from Lyari when the incident happened. He said that their party activists had remained peaceful.

PML-N was holding a conference near the KPC.  PTI is holding the ‘Huqooq-e-Pakistan’ rally which will be addressed by chairman Imran Khan.
