PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari detailed that the tribunal was formed to probe alleged rigging in intra-party elections, which apprised party chief Imran Khan of its investigation report. Then the tribunal started intervening in other party affairs, which was not its domain, added Ms Mazari.
In its reaction, she said, Mr. Khan issued a notifcation dissolving the tribunal with immediate effect on April 26.
She clarified that the PTI chief had prerogative to dissolve the tribunal. She added that PTI had no permanent judicial body in its ranks.
