ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi on Thursday (today) said that Pakistan and Netherlands enjoyed friendly and cordial relations which need to be expanded further and their horizon broadened, ARY News reported.
The President while talking to the outgoing Ambassador of Netherlands, Miss Ardi Stoior-Braker, who called on him at the Awan-e-Sadr, was congratulated by the President of Pakistan for her contributions to the bilateral relations between the countries.

Alvi expressed hope for future endeavors to further strengthen matters of mutual benefit between the two countries and it’s people, within the context of the European Union.
The President emphasized that the bilateral trade between the countries was not commensurate with its actual potential and the need for it to be further enhanced.
Pakistan sees Europe’s Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP) Plus Scheme as a constructive engagement for the betterment of its economy, as it has advanced Government’s socio-economic agenda by enhancing Pakistan-EU trade, he added.
