SWAT: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is all set to hold a rally in Khwazakhela town of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swat district on Saturday, ARY News reported.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other senior leaders will address the public gathering, according to Faisal Kareem Kundi.
According to any other party leader Dr Amjad, PPP is holding a rally in Swat district after 31 years.
In this regard, the PPP leaders yesterday visited the venue of party’s public meeting. Federal Minister Sajid Hussain Turi, Dr Haider Ali Khan and Dr Amjad monitored the setup and preparations for the gathering.
Dr Haider went on to say that specific plans had been prepared for the rally’s security, adding that police officers and other employees will volunteer to carry out their duty.
It is pertinent to mention here that PPP has also decided to hold a public rally in Lahore on June 21 – the birth anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
