Political parties divided over dialogues with Taliban

TOP NEWS

ISLAMABAD: The political parties seemed to be on collision course over dialogues with the Taliban, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah, moaned that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif never took him into confidence before finalizing a strategy for dialogues with the Taliban.

While the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam,  Maulana Fazl ur Rehman, said his party was ready for peace restoration and dialogues. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said the policy was different had the government consulted opposition leader and other political parties.

He, however, added that he had no objection on performance of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
