The police official named Ali Hassan Hydrani thrashed 80-year old Hindu-national Gokal Das over consuming meal at his doorstep 40 minutes before Iftar time.
Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Inspector General Sindh A.D. Khawaja had taken notice of the incident. Hydrani was arrested shortly after committing the act and a case was filed against him.

The image of the victim was uploaded on Twitter which created a furore on the social media website.
Earlier, SSP Masood Bangash met the victim at his home and ensured justice will be provided to him.
