KARACHI: Police on Wednesday raided the den of a notorious drug peddlar and recovered large amount of weapons and drugs
Karachi East Zone Police conducted the targeted operation and raided the den of Darvaish located in Karnol area of PIB Colony.
Superintendent Police Gulshan Dr. Fahd said that two sub-machine guns (SMGs), four repeaters and one machine gun was recovered from the hideout.
A large quantity of drugs including heroin and over hundred kilograms of charas was also recovered. Police also arrested suspect Naeem who was overseeing the den.
SP Gulshan said that Darvaish has created a strong criminal network since the past several years. Police have arrested and killed several members of the Darvaish group in targeted operations.
Darvaish is reported to have fled the country, but efforts are underway to arrest him.
