LAHORE: Police has arrested 3 accused and recovered a huge cache of illegal arms and ammunition from 2 vehicles driven by the culprits – ARY News reports.
Police sources told that the raid was conducted at the identification of intelligence agencies (IAs). The accused were passing through 'Band Road' with arms hidden in secret shelves of 2 vehicles with them.
Officials told that the arms were being smuggled to Lahore from tribal areas; from here these weapons were to be supplied to different districts of Punjab.
However, police declined to reveal the names of the accused and an interrogation is still underway.
