Gilani was supposed to contest the upcoming election from the constituency of LA-55 from Muzaffarabad, but has defects to the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf.
He met PTI Chairman Imran khan who approved his joining and welcomed him to the party. Secretary General Jehangir Khan Tareen was also present on the occasion.
