Ijaz Chaudhry was elected in the National Assembly as an independent candidate from Mandi Bahauddin in the general elections in 2013. He had later joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz who had bagged majority of the seats in National Assembly.
It is being said that he bid farewell to PML-N after he was constantly being ignored by the party leadership.
Chaudhry made the decision of joining PTI after meeting the party chairman Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen who visited his residence.
He announced his resignation from the NA seat while talking to media earlier today.
