The overall political situation of the country was discussed in the meeting at Aiwan-e-Sadar.
They agreed that all should join hands with the government for the sake of the country’s stability.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired an important meeting of federal ministers and senior party leaders on Thursday in which the issue of formation of the commission to probe the Panama Leaks were discussed.
The prime minister, in the meeting, had decided to write a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) for forming the judicial commission to probe the allegations against the Sharif family.
He underlined that the nation won’t allow anyone to impede development process. “We aim to steer Pakistan out of crisis that had been plaguing the country for years.”
Sources informed that PM told the meeting that he had no charges of corruption, adding such allegations were also levelled against his family in the past, but no proofs were provided to attest to its truth.
He said certain elements were trying to capitalize on the current political situation. “Ministers and his cabinet members expressed complete confidence in the prime minister”, the source told.
