PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan has arrived in Peshawar to review the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s performance since it came to power last month.
During his stay in the provincial capital, he will meet Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mehmood Khan as well as members of the provincial cabinet.
The prime minister will chair an important meeting to discuss various issues, including law and order situation and the progress on on-ongoing development projects in the province.
He will also meet party leaders to discuss the upcoming by-elections in the province.
On Aug 7, Imran Khan appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Peshawar in a case related to alleged misuse of provincial government’s helicopters during the last tenure of PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the NAB, during 39 official trips helicopters were used for around 75 flying hours against fuel charges of approximately Rs2.1 million.
