PM Imran to chair cabinet meeting today

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will preside over a meeting of the federal cabinet at the PM House today, ARY News reported.

The cabinet will discuss an 18-point agenda. It will get a detailed briefing on progress with regard to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s reform agenda.

It will also give approval for renewal of the Regular Public Transport (RPT) licence of AirBlue owned by former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

The endorsement of the decisions taken by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) in its February 26 meeting, posting of the POFB member production coordination, posting of MPC in heavy industries Taxila Board and posting of member ministerial coordination in POF board are also part of the agenda.

Earlier, on February 28, the federal cabinet meeting had ratified the decisions taken by Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) and approved signing of Framework Arrangement amounting to $500 million with Republic of Korea.

The prime minister, during the meeting, apprised the cabinet about the decision to permit construction of high rise building in the Federal Capital. The prime minister said that vertical structure was need of the hour in view of increased population and fast depleting green belts especially in major cities of the country.
