According to a notification, the ban on pillion riding has been imposed in Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Khairpur, Sukkur and Shikarpur on the recommendation of home ministry from Tuesday midnight till Ashura.
Women, children and senior citizens have been exempted from the pillion riding ban.
The citizens have also been barred from recording controversial audio and visuals, under Section 144.
The provincial government has written a letter to Sindh Police and Rangers regarding the bans and has order the law enforcement agencies to take strict action against the violaters.
