Peace talks: Maulana Yousuf stresses need to end deadlock

PESHAWAR: Maulana Yousuf Shah, member of the Taliban-nominated committee for peace talks, said every step will be taken to end deadlock between both the government and Taliban, ARY News reported on Wednesday.                                                                                                                            

Addressing a press conference, he said all problems will be resolved through dialogues. He cited Maulana Samiul Haq as saying that demands from both the sides should be resolved through talks. He said Maulana Sami was also in contact with the Taliban.                                                                                

"I had a meeting with Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, and he also wished to continuation of peace talks" he said, adding that all members of both the committees have responsibility to make dialogues a success.

If Rustam Shah Mohmand don’t want to talk with us, and communicate directly to them (Taliban), we don’t have any problem, he added.
